Suzie Pow
Japanese Illustrative Tattoo Artist
Suzie Pow, also known as Suze, has joined our team at Six Bullets Tattoo on Camden Road, North London. She’s an illustrative tattoo artist taking on custom work by appointment, and consultations are free.
In Suzie’s words
“I’m a London-based tattoo artist with six years of professional experience, working with clients both in the UK and internationally through guest spots and tattoo conventions. I also regularly travel to Toronto to tattoo, where I hold a Canadian work visa.
Over the years, I’ve explored a wide range of tattoo styles, allowing my work to evolve through both technical development and artistic curiosity. My current focus is inspired by Japanese illustration, particularly its rich tradition of folklore, mythology, and visual storytelling, which continues to shape my approach to tattooing.”
Subjects and Styles
Suzie’s work draws on Japanese motifs including dragons, tigers, snakes, hannya and tsuchigumo, alongside botanical subjects such as chrysanthemum, magnolia and dogwood blossom. She works in both full colour and black ink, taking on everything from single-session pieces to full sleeves, back pieces and chest and rib panels.
Her illustrative approach sits close to traditional Japanese tattooing in its subject matter, but with looser linework and a more drawn, storybook quality than classic irezumi. If you’re weighing up which direction suits your idea, the tattoo styles guide covers the differences in more detail.
